trust me those bolts take lots of abuse and rattling, use locktite like everyone else who thought they were torqued enough

now that you havve the shifter in, have you tried running it with out the intake. if you have and it makes the noise, try holding the hurst stick itself, not holding the ball. hold the handle hard. ohther than that if you have checked the shifter completly then well need to know more. does it sound like its coming from underneath you or from the engine bay

I was going to switch the intake but the noise now is def the shifter! There may have been an engine noise but I don't hear it anymore. I can tell it's clearly the shifter. ( I'm thinking it was faint at first which is why I couldn't tell where it was coming from and thought it was the motor but now it's very loud and i can see the shifter physically rattling side to side in gear) I have tried grabing the stick itself and even took off the **** and drove it like that to make sure the **** wasnt rattling. It doesnt seem like the rattling is the handle attachment but the whole thing as 1 piece.

Matt I was gonna try the locktite but my fear is I'll never get it off after that. Is locktite THAT permanent?
