Default Gauge Install Questions

Which wire (what color) off the O2 Sensor is the signal wire for my A/F gauge?

Where are you all mounting the sending unit for Oil Temp?

Did you buy a narrow band air/fuel? If so, just mount it without wiring it. It will be just as useful.

My bad. That was a dick thing to say. But seriously, the narrow band is ridiculously inaccurate on our cars. Your best bet would be to get a wideband and tap your exhaust behind the left manifold for the new O2 sensor.

No problem. Could I just get the wideband O2 sensor and use it with the Autometer Gauge I've got? I'd like to keep them all matching.

It doesn't work that way. You need the whole setup if you want a wideband, but I'd have to agree that the narrow band sensor is not only useless on these cars, it is pretty muchuseless onany car with ODBII and/or electronic fuel injection. I would seriously consider returning the gauge and applying the refund towards a wideband. Autometer has a pretty good selection. You could probably find what you need in the same series. Although, if you aren't going to go to forced induction, the money might be better spent on a different type of gauge anyway. I don't think the wideband gauges are very aesthetically pleasing, and would much rather run a gauge with a printed face and sweeping needle.
