Default Saleen HE Upgrade

Like I said in my previous post, I plan on getting the 540HP Saleen kit from HCM, but I was wondering if you Saleen blown guys think the cooling on the Saleen stock is plenty to run a 12 PSI setup, or if the HE upgrade would be well worth it? This is the one I was lookin' at http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_2005/saleen.html, well scroll down a little bit on the page to the HE Upgrade

No need to bump after a couple of hours late at night for many! Give it time....patience is a virtue!

I think if you're going to race ALOT, or looking to produce a pure track car, then the HE upgrade is probably worth a 10th or so, if that. Otherwise, I could think of alot I could do with $450 that is worth more than a 10th. (like a couple of hours at a nudy bar).

Saleen has a new intercooler system out, I know JDM carriers it, I think its about 1300.00. I live the Sac, Ca and it get hot as hell here, and I do worry a little about the heat and I am onlying making 6.5psi, I just don't drive the car too often if I know its going to be over 100 and I will get stuck in traffice (I won't drive it to work).

Yea, the JDM one is the one I was offered at first, but I saw that one on Brenspeed for a lot less... Only thing is if its not going to help a ton I don't want to waste the money, but I do live in California, it can get pretty hot, and I always thought the cooler the charge the much better for the internals? If it's not gonna make a big difference and I can just be careful not to drive to hard on really hot days, then I don't see a reason to have it... My main thing is I want this car to last as I don't plan on ever selling it...

I also live in So. Cal. and just had Saleen's HE upgrade installed. This car is my DD and it can get blazing hot out here. The sole purpose of this upgrade was too keep it cool as much as possible. So far, this upgrade already has made a huge difference in keeping the temp. down. The HE is significantly larger, the water pump has far more power and the 2 fans are constantly going. I have driven it hard for the past 3 days and the temp. gauge has not moved at all. I'll keep you posted when the summer temps. rise but so far, I am very pleased.
