Chicken or the Egg/Tuner or the CAI

Chicken or the Egg/Tuner or the CAI
So here is my predicament. Due to wedding costs I can only afford to do EITHER a CAI or a tuner. [:@]
As I understand, and correct me if I am wrong, a tuner really should be the first major purchase as it is needed for most other mods. i.e. Gears, CAI, CMDP, etc.
So, my question is this; will just a tune on a stock motor make a difference? Can I at least get rid of the throttle lag?
Let me know.

First of all, the 2 go together like bacon and eggs... Don't do one without the other.
Yes, thetune will make a noticeable difference w/o the CAI (more so thanjust the CAI)but the 2 really are matched nicely. The tune should also eliminate throttle lag. Still, I cringe at the thought of not doing the combo.

for the actual rwhp numbers gained by
just a tune, do a google search on coldscore,
it has a chart
could you postpone the wedding? [8D]
i would just wait till you can buy the combo

Hammeron must be referring to http://www.westernmotorsports.ca/wms.../coldscore.pdf
Otherwise, it's a bunch of articles about COLD SORES. [&:]

The tune for a cold air should not be the same as a tune that uses the OE air inlet. I don't know if these tunes ship with options for either intake option, but I'd really hate to end up having bought two tunes by the time I got around to installing the cold air. And I wouldn't get the cold air without the proper tune.

Ahh, so there is a benefit.
I know I should wait but I am getting way too froggy to not wait on one or the other.
Can't postpone the wedding, It's Saturday, in Vegas, I leave tomorrow.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

Well, if you absolutely HAVE to have one or the other, the tune would be the better option.
You're just going to have pay for a completely new retune later? So you're going to end up paying a lot more.
