Its true what others have said. As you break them in the sound will change some get louder and some don't. Also when you add a CAI they will be a bit louder as well. I think this is because of the increased flow.

I wonder how much if true?

We actually use a lava rock wool packing material not fiber glass. It is more heat resistant then fiber glass and will not blow out (as long as your car is properly tuned). As you put about 500-800 miles on the system the packing will break in and set. The mufflers may get a little louder once they have broken in. If the mufflers are straight through glasspackeddesign, some of the glasscan blow out leading to a louder muffler. If the muffler is a metal "chambered" muffler design...no it will not get louder.

My stingers and pypes mid muffler got louder and deeper as time went on. I did not notice a change when i had slp lm's and flows on.

My Stingers SEEMED to get a bit deeper over time.
+1, mine definitely opened up a bit later, but it took more than a week.

MY FRPP STINGERS OPENED UP AFTER 3 RUNS ON THE DYNO. I DON'T KNOW IF ITS AS MUCH TIME AS IT IS BLOWING IT OUT THE BUTTHOLE.

Yours will change in tone and can either get deeper or louder or both IMO with these strait- thru designed mufflers.... the fiberglass in time will break down...
