Default Day Time Running Lights

I just bought a 2005 GT and I need to turn on the day time running light option. Does anyone know how this is done?

My 2005 GT does not have daytime running lights. If you absolutely have to, you can drive with your headlights and/or foglights on during daylight.

In your member profile it says you are from British Columbia, right? Anyway, apparently, canadian mustangs have the daytime running lights and the american ones don't. I tried looking in my owners manual for the fuse relays, and none of the fuses were for the DRLs. So, I would suggest looking in your owners manual (guessing the canadian version is different than the american one) and they might have what fuse runs the DRLs. I had a GMC truck with DRLs and all I did to make them permanently off was pull the fuse. if that doesen't work, as mentioned, a trip to the dealer might be in order

When I bought my 06 GT I didnt have the daytime running lights. After my remote battery went dead, I had to reprogram the remotes to the car. I followed what the owners manual said to do, a series of turning key on and off and then holding the button. Now, I have daytime running lights and when I press th elock feature on the remote, the car sometimes honks in three loud burts instead of the usual quiet double. So...there has to be a way to turn it on and off if mine now has them but didnt before.

The dealer has to go through the smart junction box to turn them on.
