stock gt is 6250
and it doesnt really hurt the car going up that high in the RPM range, repeatedly doing it does, especailly if you bang if off the limiter many times like i have seen idiots do.

I agree the stock rev limiter setting is 6250. Brenspeed set mine at 6800 but I reset it to 6500 just because. I had hit the limiter at 6800 a few times before I reset it lower. No biggie.

With 3.55 gears, setting the rev limiter at 6800 rpm allows the driver to shift at 6500 rpm, andcross the 1/4 mile finish line at the top of 3rd gear. This helps to lower the e.t. by avoiding a 3rd-4th shift.
Also, the computer starts closing the throttle plate approx. 300-400 rpm lower than the rev limit in order to prevent the throttle plate from slamming shut when the rev limiter activates. So setting the rev limit 300-400 rpm higher than your shift point keeps the throttle plate open, and allows the engine to make more power in the high rpm range.

I run a smaller than stock drag radial(275/40/17) on my 3.55's and cross about 6300 in 3rd.
Pretty sure my brenspeed tune is set at 6800 also.
