The K&N is a good performance filter with some good features such as a 1" nut for removal.

&lt\\;P&gt\\;
ORIGINAL: Riptide&lt\\;BR&gt\\;&lt\\;BR&gt\\;Curious.&amp\\; nbsp\\; How do we know royal purple, amsoil, mobile 1, etc. are any better than motorcraft?&lt\\;BR&gt\\;
&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;We assume from all the testing. Personally, most major brands protect equally well, regardless if they’re dino, synthetic blend or full synthetic.&amp\\;nbsp\\; The true benefits of dino&amp\\;nbsp\\;vs blend&amp\\;nbsp\\;vs full syn has more to do with the longevity of the various protective packages and the oils potential to shear.&amp\\;nbsp\\; I’ve run numerous vehicles beyond 200,000 miles on dino with oil/filter changes at 3-4k miles.&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
