I think your 10psi is good. If you want more power then you should go all out build your motor and boost at least 16 ibs.

Guys thanks for your input. I spoke with mike at whipple again and he said with the 12 psi kit i will be making just under 500 rwhp. I want to do it so bad but alittle scared. The crazy thing is that i ordered the 12psi pulley kit last week and its on its way to me. What should i do when i get it?

Install it, dog the hell out of it, and let us know how it goes. If you break that block, you've got a great reason to buy a built block!

The tune is good but I just pose this to you guys...

Remember - no matter how conservative you make a tune - a tune will NEVER make those toothbrush rods any bigger. I personally feel that running 12 psi is a risk no matter what tune is in the car and it is a matter of when - not if. Yes, some guys have gone 10K miles hard, and other's have gone 10 minutes on the dyno. Not all motors are created equal at ford but the rods are crap and that is a constant. No matter what anyone tells you, it is a RISK, and you are rolling the dice. As long as you know and accept that, then do what makes you happy...

Thanks Trevor!

To the OP, if you have some way to afford a new motor, then by all means, crank her up to 12 psi INCASE she goes early. It could last 1 mile or 50K miles....make sure the tune is good though to ensure longer life. As modaddict stated, the tune will not save the motor but it can definitely extend the life of it!
