Default Oil Separator Hose???

Need some direction guys. Since nothing else was available locally I installed regular rubber hose on my oil separator in a supercharged application. Now as many of you warned the hose is beginning to collaspe with the warmer temps.

Where can I get some 5/8 reinforced black rubber hose that won't collaspe. Thing is I dont want to use the exterior steel braided as I am keeping all of my hoses the stock look and do not want odd ball hoses on the seperator.

Looking for sources, Thanks

Tuff one. The steel braided hoses are about the only thingthat can gaurantee you wont have a problem.

Some one might have a better solution, but what about just going stainless and painting it black?

I ran my hoses under the intake on my whipple and if you painted them black it wouldnt stand out.

Personally everytime I remove a hose I plan to replace it with braided stainless. Those things are rated to like 40,000psi.

Good luck.

Very little in the way of options outside the steel braided. It seems there is only (1) solution which meets my needs.

Goodyear makes a wire reinforced 5/8 heater hose. Part No. 58110. Of course no one has in stock. Ordered from Auto Zone. Ten Foot length for $100.00. Should have in a day or so.

Just thought I would pass it along.

For a cheap fix, go to your local napa and ask for 5/8 inch (measured in outside diameter) nylon air brake tubing. It is resistant to just about anything and can slide inside your rubber hose to keep it from colapsing. It feels like hard plastic tubing, it's flexible and very tuff. Some napa stores may not carry it, but any place that stocks big truck parts will.

It would ooze oil and eventually fail. I bought the summit twist tight blue hose which is compatible with oil, but it colapsed, so i slid a piece of nylon air tube inside of it.
