Default Loudmouths and Boomtubes.

What exactly is the difference in sound/performance in the loudmouths and the boomtubes for those who have heard both on S197's?

Boomtubes are cleaner, a bit quieter, and less obnoxious. They have a little bit of packing material inside them, but still sound nasty.

None of the axle-backs will have any performance difference. Do not factor performance into this decision, because you will be very disappointed. Also, like SLPs, Boomtubes will not bolt to your 3" over-axle pipes. Almost every axle-back is made for the 2.5".

After getting boomtubes...I'm not sure I'd ever take them off ever again.
