NOS=EZ HP?
Should I get NOS?
I figure it's about $1200 for everything I need to get it all set up and running.
Can't even afford a SC right now,the best I would be able to do this summer would be gears and a high stall converter but none of that will even come close to the power NOS will give me.
It will be mainly for freeway runs and track time,not too concerned with 1/4 mile street racing but will open her up for the right competition
I may also get delete plates and shorty headers for added flow but that's about it.
Right now all I have is a CAI/TUNE and wannabe boomtubes,I figure I am about at 270 whp (??)
so 100 shots should put me about the 370 whp range??

well,the GT AUTO is a HOG on the freeway with roll racing and I am tired of loosing to the same cars I'd normally spank in the 1/4 lol.
I'd also like to be in the low 12s before the summer is over...

NO2 is for the strip, not the street. I know its hard not to WOT when challenged, instead tell them you'll meet them at the track, whoever loses pays the others admission. Try it just once....you will have so much fun (win or lose) you'll never race on the street again. (and we willALLbe safer for it)
Now to your question, I run a 100 shot and would never consider using it at a roll, the power is instantaneous and with out the proper tires at the proper psi you would be all over the place.
I will assume with a stock auto you have 331 gears, I would take the money you have and install 373's. Turn off the OD, go WOT and you will be surprised how quick she is!
See ya at the track,
Harley

I agree.. if you have eventual goals of a S/C then only get mods that will still have value after you get it. the gears are a good choice, and an aluminum 1 piece drive shaft is another good one.. and I believe the CMDPs are a waste, but some people might not agree. or... save up for that s/c.. if you are smart and have a full weekend and a few tools you can install a basic s/c yourself for probably 3,000 I've heard that saleens can go for that low. so if you can just wait a bit longer, turn that 1200 into 3000 you might be closer than you think
