I have the Steeda's on an 06 w/ 5speed. There is definately drone. It is fairly bad at 1800-2100rpm(mainly 5th gear) but overall they sound so good that I can live with the drone.

The stingers on my auto vertdrone quite a bit. If you not used to, or have a lot of passengers(wife) in the car a lot, might not be the best choice. The drone has cut down quite a bit after the o/r h install. I really like the tone, just wish they were a little louder outside the car, than in.

I love my Steeda axle-backs! It is easy to stay out of the drone range when you drive a GT with a manual transmission - just keep it above 2000 rpms. If I am traveling through town at 45 MPH, I leave it in 4th. I only use 5th on the highway when traveling over 65 MPH.

I bet they would sound great on a vert!

It will go away once they are broken in and I love the sound of the Steeda over a lot of other ones.

I have noticed that too. I thought I was just getting used to the sound, but the droneis definitely reduced since I had them installed.
