They are just so pretty.

Onederful you are cutting it close, do you really think it will affect your dyno numbers?
I had the same dilema. Since Adam was building my car and it was cheaper I went with the frankentensioner. You can't see the tensioner anyway and I have never had an issue with belts. The thuprrr is a nice piece for sure.

Silly question, what exactly does the thumprrr do and why do we need it?

Thats gonna probably one of my next mods. I get squeak from the belt or one of the pulleys at start up. Once the car warms up it goes away though. Either way its pretty annoying and embarassing, especially when theres people next to my car.

I have had mine on for about 2 months now and my city MPG has fallen from 17-18 to 11-12. I can understand that a bit becuase I have a heavy right foot. But this last weekend i went up to Orlando and drove like I always do and my highway MPG fell from 24-25 to 17-18. Anyone else have their milage drop off that much?

Well i havent kept track but its not that bad if i dont boost and just drive normally. I notice my needle drop quick when I take my car through wot couple times throughout the day. Your gas mileage drop seems normal i guess since you have a heavy foot.

the city MPG drop I can understand but not the highway. I put the cruise on 75 and drove up I-75 and I-4 to Orlando and I got around 7 MPG less.

yea, even after the tensioner and 8 rib conversion i still get dust in there and i'm pretty darn sure there's no slipping now, or no over slipping. i think it was modaddict that said a little slippage is normal otherwise the belt would just snap if it were too tight.

but i did lose a little boost bc i went to a 3.5 pulley instead of the 3.375. i went from 10-11 psi to 8-9 psi. but at least its working good now. maybe that leaves some room for hot rod cams.
