if you can afford it - then do it. The GT500 has much more potential for speed than a GT, as the 500 has the forged motor capable of 700 at the wheel hp with just a blower swap. 100 hp gain on a pulley change and tune!

Is the mustang your daily driver? If so why not keep the mustang and buy an economical car for your daily driver?

Yes my stang is a DD, so the 500 would be one too....That might not be a good idea you think? putting all those miles on. I really dont care about the way gas is going either. I didnt by my 08 because it has such awesome gas mileage. Ive looked into buying a whipple because I now have the money plus extra for other things. I dont know, I paid 26500 for my GT back in November. There is also another guy who I work with that bought the same color so now I kinda lost interest in the color. Some stripes would change that but I would be getting the 500 for msrp. Decisions decisions thanks guys for the input.....

I wouldn't worry too much about the color. If you buy a different color GT 500, you may get sick of the color or car after a while. I would buy a slightly used econobox and use the rest of the money do some mods.
