My Whipple just came in yesterday but I have to wait until December and yes I said Dec. My car is in Italy and I am in Afghanistan. I am grown man but I feel like a kid having to have my parents hold all the mods until I return back to the States. So til then I live my life through the threads. Keep all the stories coming so I can get more and more excited.
And I think waiting a week is going to be tough!!

Default RE: Just bought the Whipple HO!!

As of 9:30am this morning I officially joined the Whipple Crew. I got the HO w/3.5" pulley. they say that will generate 10psi on the GenII. There was some mix up with the pulleys as I originally installed the 100mm on the drivers side and put the stock pulley on the tensioner. They had to overnight me a 90mm ( I think ) to put on the tensioner and i put the stock idler back on the drivers side.

Took it out for a very short test drive and BAM! the thing is quick. I have an auto trans and even with that it really pins you to your seat.

However I do have one problem that I am trouble shooting: when I put the negative lead onto the battery the I/C water pump kicked on and I think it cut out when it got to temperature. I'm thinking right now that somehow the 'switch' is reversed. ie: it turns on when it is cool and off when it is hot. Is that possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
