Check the tire wall.
Most are around 35PSI

Depends on your preference. When I get new tires, I usually began at about 6-8 psi above the manufacturer's recommended pressure and reduce itin 2 psi increments to a little below the recommended pressure, then back up until I find my compromise in handling and comfort. I try to do that on the same roads within a short time span.

Don't forget that for every 10 degrees F temperature change you'll have roughly a 1 PSI pressure change.

I'm running 32-33 PSI in my Eagle F1's.

Eeek! Never go by the tires sidewall. Thats only the tires safe maximum pressure.

The 255/50 can carry a heavier load than the 235/55 at the same tire pressure.
Go by whats on the door, or like Nuke said.

If 35 psi is the safe max pressure....then what does it mean when it says 32 psi min and 50 psi max ?????? Check what the sidewall says and thats what the tire manufacturer recommends. Stoenr not understanding your post?

The sidewall is just what the tire manufactor says is the maximum psi you should ever run the tire. It is not an indicator of what pressure you should run in your car.

I never in my 18 years of being in the tire business have seen a tire that said min and max. But theres always a 1st for everything
