Want more from the whipple

Want more from the whipple
First off i own a vortech supercharged foxbody. It has 3.73 gears and put down 409 rwhp. The car pulls alot harder then my 07 whippled stang. I'm wanting to get the same performance asmy fox out of my 07, but i want to keep the 3.31 gears. My fox traps 118 mph while my 07 traps 113. I've seen many people trap 118 mph in s197's that have whipples. My question is what am i missing. I'm using the frpp tune and my guess is with nothing more then a custom tune i'd be close to where i want to be.It was about80degrees when i ran my 07.Do you think my car would trap closer to 120 with nothing more than better air?

Yeah its the H.O. gen II with the new 3.5" pulley. I know the 3.73 will really help make it feel faster, but i like the fact i'm not spinning thru all my gears. I just want my trap speed to be closer to 120. Don't know if thats possible without going forged and staying in the safe limits of the stock engine, but thats why i want your guys opinions. BTW i'm at sea level so the air gets pretty decent here at times.

Well LT's will help you get mph on the top end.. I've yet to run my car since the HO install (gen II also) you can get there and not go forged but you will have to shed weight and possibly loose your cat's LT's and get a custom dyno tune... you don't need forged internals... You just need some seat time...As do I

wait a minute
3.125=12 psi
3.375=10 psi
3.625=8 psi
there is no 3.5" pulley for the s197, which one you got, if it's the 8psi , then you should get the 10.

I think i'm going to try acanned tune from vmp. I don't know anyone thats close by that i would trust to tune a s197. Does anybody have any expericence going from the frpp tune to a vmp tune.
