Default For those of you that self installed Magnaflow, Corsa axle backs.

The stock pipes of the stang come with two little **** (look like small buttons or something) and fits on the stock muffler.
There is a hole on the stock muffs where the **** fit in.

I was wondering if the Magnaflow, Corsa, etc axle back mufflers come with this hole or not?

I made a thread about my **** being cut off at the shop and I was wondering if they are a must for the mufflers
to fit securely and correctly on all axle-backs.

If you want you can read more about my concerns on this thread...

Nope, I didn't need to. I put on Corsa axle-backs a few weeks ago and just slid the pipe up to the little ****. Tightened the clamp and haven't had any leak problems so far.

I put Corsa axle backs on yesterday and they don't slide up the mid pipe as far as the factory exhaust so they don't have to be notched for that little indexing button. If you are consdering the Corsa I have to say I am very happy. They look good and sound good, but in the car they are not any more noticable than stock unless you get into the gas some. I'm getting older and appreciate the drone free ride more than a did 17 years ago when I got my first Mustang.

They're not necessary. They are there so the people on the assembly line will not be able to install the muffler crooked/rotated no matter how hard they try. The are for alignment purposes only.

Damned..... You made two threads about the same problem within 30 mins of each other? This is the same thing you did with the whole stinger discussions. You had 12 threads back then for the same topic!
