I drove my friends 06 vette today and all i can say is wow. Makes my car feel like a ford focus. It only has 75 more hp than my 05 gt with CAI/tune, and is what 200 lbs lighter, but it just pulled from anywhere in the rpm range like my car does only in 1st and 2nd. I have been on the fence for a while with a TS S/C. I haven't had a chance to find a whipple, saleen, or KB stang anywhere in my area to test drive to make a good comparision so what have you all found with the comparison between the vette and a S/C stang. Would 4.10s and a 500 hp (crank) make the mustang pull like the vette.
What is a good clutch too, I don't like how mine slips so much. It feels like I am losing all the seat of the pants pull by the time it catches. It might just be dying though. I looked at the centerforce dfx and spec stage 3. |

I think 500 hp and 4.10s would make it pull much harder than the vette at lower speeds (<80mph). The vette is so much more aerodynamic that it would probably still pull on you over 120mph. Thats just a guess, but it should be pretty accurate.

It's $60,000 vs $30,000. It's Sports Car vs Muscle Car. Apples vs Oranges. Put 30 grand into your mustang and you will pull a lot harder then the vette.

I agree that its apples vs. oranges but the vette starts at 47,000 far from 60,000. Put an intake cam and LT headers on the vette and you got a 10 second car all day trapping around 130 as someone already said. All that would put you right around 50 grand for the vette.

A vette is a vette and there is no reason to compare them to a mustang. They are faster and handle better. Thats the facts, like it or not. My dad has a 05 vette and a 07 srt8 300c and they both pull harder than my modded 05 stang. Oh well!!!!
