do aftermarket shorty headers actually make the car louder like long tubes?

I doubt it.....smoother and a different exhaust note but from what I have read NOT louder....

I used to run shorties, so +1... not much louder at all...

your car will be loud, but mainly because of the off road x pipe and stingers... it will sound really good though none the less.

here is a setup with a bassani xpipe (i think catted) to flowmasters... stock headers...

i was trying to locate a youtube video by jwgroovin (member of this forum) because he had some videos of his car with shorty headers, a catless x pipe, and a MAC catback system... sounded really good. I heard it up close at a mustang cruise, and it was very loud.
