SLP or PYPES

RE: SLP or PYPES
My exhaust quest thus far:
1) Stock H and SLP loudmouths - sounded great, exceptional sound, GF liked it too
2) Pypes O/R X and SLP loudmouths - ridiculously loud, horrible trumpeting sound, but power gains from the O/R X
3) Pypes O/R X and stock mufflers - raspy and weak but much quieter
4) Pypes O/R X and Pypes MM system - much cleaner and aggressive sound, less trumpeting, sounds great above 3K rpm, major fitment issues during install. GF preferred the SLP's
6K miles later, much louder, more popping/trumpeting at 2-2.5 K rpm, rattles, finish on tips sucks. Exhaust has been readjusted several times but the rattles come back.
New plan, ditch the MM system and put back the stock after cat pipes and put on a Corsa axle back, yes the Corsa's cost more than all my other exhaust stuff combined but less pipe connections, better quality part, and cleaner sound, and not as loud as the MM system.
So, if you have the stock H, it is your personal preference on the SLP vs the MM, I liked the SLP better but I wasn't going to go back down in power to lose the X pipe. Once you go with an O/R mid pipe be mindful of drone, trumpeting, and noise level.

RE: SLP or PYPES
Ok so I'm a pypes guy for life being its my second system from them and I love the sound but fitment........ wow ****!!!!!! I have the mids and a frpp cut and bolt on X and the sound is so so sweet but yes I herd the reviews on fitment prior to purchase and still went ahead and am happy but after lifting and readjusting and messin with it 5 times!! I gave up. conceded defeat and went to a muffler shop and had it custom bent and welded and much worth it.
In closing I would recomend a cattted x and mid muffs but dont do it yourself take it straight to the shop and save your frustration. Its just not worth messing with it.

The only fitment issue i had was the pass side tip was 2in lower than the drivers side. After some bending, etc i got it within 1/4in but i'll be taking it to a shop to have it aligned even. just knowing its off annoys me
