Pro Motion makes a 26 spline input shaft for the S197 GT, but you would have to switch to a clutch that works with a 26 spline shaft as well. I considered going this route when I did my clutch, but the lead time for the Pro Motion input shaft was like 4 weeks back then, and I didn't have that much time.

Nine - I am doing my clutch toward the end of the year, since I have time to order the parts do you think it is worth it to change out the input shaft? How hard is it to swap?

Thanks,

Changing the input shaft would not add much difficulty to what is already a pretty difficult job. If you can get a hold on a 26 spline before your swap, I would definitely recommend it. The only reason I didn't do it was because I couldn't wait for the part to be made, and at the time, there was only one company making them.

This is definately something I will need in the near future. I would like to know where to get the 26 spline for a manual tranny and the difficulty in changing it.

I just put in a new clutch disc (10 spline) and I'm not patient enough to wait another month for my car so I will wait until it breaks. Then I will probably have to wait a month anyways.
