When is the order bank opening?

When is the order bank opening?
Just curious because I have heard that it won't be until June from my dealer but a lot of people on this board say that it is the 15th of May. Don't want to be late in ordering mine, that's why I'm asking. Please, only reliable info. Thanks!

Job #1 on the '06 Mustangs is scheduled for 08/05/05, so there should be pricing available from Ford in late June or early July. As for ordering a 2006 Mustang, I have been taking deposits for a couple weeks now. I do not have set pricing or a list of the commodity holds, but I am able to enter the orders into the order bank.

hello FlaBlackhawk
It sounds like you are dealer, If you are do you know what is the chance of getting a gt500 in 2007 ? It looks like it will be limited production and a lot of people will want one and this will cause that dealer effect of charging over msrp, as if they don't make enough as is. I hope that the people under 30 years of age check with thier insurance company before they run out an get one of these gt500.

Red,
I would bet a lot of people on this board know more information on the GT500 than most dealers do. Ford has not come out with any significate information for dealers. I have heard that only SVT authorized dealers will be able to sell the Shelby and that there will only be about 7,500. This is really all I know. Pricing has yet to be established.
As for selling the vehicle over MSRP, its the simple rule of supply and demand. If you are selling your house and someone offers you more than market value, you would probably accept it. Its no different with these Mustangs. We only placed a bump sticker on our first GT. After that, we have had many customers come into the dealership and offer to pay over sticker if we can acquire a specific GT for them.

Thanks FlaBlackhawk for the info. I agree about the (over msrp) is caused by demand and a few people that have more (money or credit) than the average person, and they really don't have a clue that they only are driving the price up for everybody else that are trying to get one at a reasonable price. That is why I waited to april to get my 05gt because when I tried to get one in december all the dealerships was getting 2000+ over msrp and I got the same 05gt in april for 1000 under msrp were it should have been from the beginning.

Hello FlaBlackhawk,
I understand the whole supply and demand issue, but does your dealership markup apply to the cars you stock only? What about the guy thats willing to wait and order the car they want? Can he/she get a respectable price?

If we are able to get a GT in stock, which is rare, then we will mark it up over sticker. We will not sell the GT under any of Ford's plans either. We are only able to get a Mustang GT for stock if a custom order fell through, such as the customer having money down but horrible credit.
If any of our customers order a Mustang GT, we are selling them for MSRP. No more; no less. We will take a custom order under the A,Z,D, or X plans, but we will not put an extremely high priority on it. However, I make sure all my orders are filled. At this point, I have filled all my customer's orders and the longest wait has been 13 weeks.
