procharger p-1sc
Guy's I'm new to this so I hope I'm doing this right...
I have a 2006 GT that I recently had a procharger system professionally installed and dyno tuned by a local highperformance shop. However I'm having a problem with the system, at around 2900 rpm the power backs off for a spilt second, just around the time boost starts to build.I spoke with Procharger and they said it was do to the tune the shop had used. So I took my car back to the shop to have then take a look into the situation and after some time of modifing the tune they have minimized the "flat spot" but it still exists. At first they thought it was the predator tune dropping off timing at 2900rpm but the latest story is that the "flate spot" is being caused chargemotion control plates. So they changed the time when the plates came on or off, not sure exactly, and this seems to have helped.
Anyone else had the same problem? or any ideas on what the problem my be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

+ 1 to Hammer
Those plates work to create more torque on the low end and then the open up to help make more power ont he top end.
In you case these are causing an inlet restriction as all that hardware is in the way of all your boost.
Here is what I would do in your position.
Get the Steeda "premium" Charge Motion Control Delete plates. These can come drilled and tapped for nitrous. Install a zex kit with a 75 shot and have the car dyno tuned. The nitrous will work to provide great torque on the low end at launch where your centri doesnt make much power.
Or the cheaper non crazy power hungry way , get the basic delete plates and dyno tune.

I have a the P1SC kit and have not experienced this problem. The charge motion plates are still there. As far as tuning is concerned, ProCharger tuned my car. I could send you my tune if you have an automatic. As long as the shop you are using has Diablo software they could probably use it as a basis to tune yours. This tune is not for the 5 spd though.
