Which SCT tune is better Brenspeed or Steeda??
I'm getting ready to buy a SCT tune, CAI, and underdrive pulleys...Just looking for opinions on which SCT tune to go w/....Brenspeed or Steeda?
Any one have suggestions and reasons why they have a preference...?
I appreciate it...I have a 2006 GT...daily driver, no track use...I just want to get the most performance I can.
thanks

Sinnervip1,
I think that either are a huge improvement on what you currently have. I have a Steeda Q350 so I had the original custom tune from Steeda but just recently upgraded to the Steeda Adaptive Tune (Which automatically adjusts to differentoctane ratings) . It seems about the same but maybe a little quicker out of the hole.
If your going to order one vs. having a custom tune done via a dyno-tune shop you can't go wrong with Brenspeed, Alternative Auto, Bama or Steeda.
The general opinion is that a dyno shop that is reputable will give you the best results and bang for your bucks by doing a custom tune.
I am basing this on my experience with Steeda and the reputations of the others mentioned.
I would love to get to a track and try several tunes to see how close they really are. You can't compare even similar cars with different tunes because each car has some uniqueness to it (even stock).

brenspeed hands down. I speak from experience with both
Steeda has a good tune, problem is, they do not tune for climate/region specific so their tune they give out in denver will be the same as the one in orlando......not taking into the humidity, temperature, and elevation differences
brenspeed does some amazing things with their torque management and maximizing HP throughout the entire spectrum...consider me a happy brenspeed customer

Brenspeed if you're a manual; Bama if you're an automatic.Actually, either one is superior to Steeda IN MY OPINION.

I love steeda gear (see sig) but the tune bites. The VMP tune with the same Steeda intake felt like a different car...if it's between the 2, I vote for Brenspeed...which I almost went with for $75 emailed vs like $50 from VMP (and Justin used to work for SCT )
