Default Labor?

Whats a round about number that people have paid on here to get NSR cams changed out? Just labor? If nobody has what do you think it should cost?

I checked with Ford because my car only has 12,000 miles to see if the would still honor my warranty they said yes until I asked for it in writing then their story changed.
They quoted my a price of $460.00-$600.00.

My buddy who works at a performance shop said he would do mine "on the side" for $300. Otherwise, the shop rate was $500-600 for NSR and $1200-1500 for VSR. So, Im pretty stoked he's cutting me a deal

AllData labor guide shows 5.3 hours time to change both camshafts. Multiply it by the labor rate to get amount. My shop is $82/hr x 5.3 = $434.6 + tax

Ok I'm getting some better quotes, but not as low as you guys are saying. Every mechanic that I talk to doesn't believe the write up on these cams that you dont need to change the valve springs out. Are the valve springs in the S197 better then the ones that they put in the older stangs? They don't think that there is anyway that there is a cam out there that is made to go on an engine that has a blower that you dont have to change the spring out.

No, there are cams out there that are made for blowers and are NSR. Comp cams has a set of NSR blower grind. You can see it on their site.

The FRPP Hot Rods would be fine too.

Ya the comp cams are the ones that I'm ordering. I'm just wondering if maybe these guys that I've been talking dont know to much about these newer mustangs. I'm in Hawaii and there are only three guys that you can trust around heer to do engine work. But they are all 94-04 stang guys and have only done some little work on the S197s

I don't know if you already have seen this, but Brenspeed now has these http://www.brenspeed.com/127bren2.html

I noticed they re-designed their site and added this new "brenspeed special" cam.
