Difference between LT's
I want to get the triple mac setup (Mac LT's, Pro-chamber and axle-backs) and it only costs $1200 from Brenspeed, but if I went for something like Bassani, or JBA, it would cost $1200 for just the headers.
So why is there such a price variation between LT headers? Is it just the quality? Performance? Longevity? Heat control? |
RE: Difference between LT's
I know the JBA Long Tubes cost between 550 and 750 (depending on ceramic or chrome or what and the collector size) at RPM Outlet. Not sure why it would cost more at Brenspeed. I would do price comparisons before I decided to go with anything. Heres the link to the JBA ones at RPM Outlet:

No the JBA quote was from LMPerformance.

RE: Difference between LT's
It depends on what kind of sound you want. You also have realize that the mac setup doesn't come with cats. This is what helps to keep the cost down compared to others.

RE: Difference between LT's
catted or uncatted doesn make that much difference.....ARH o/r setup is 1200. Fit and quality is one of the differences. the mac setup with midpipe is about 900 so there is 300 difference in price. The ARH setup is a true long tube setup while the MAC and Kooks are more of a mid length setup. probably not much difference in performance though. The coatings are suppose to help with under hood temps. Also, you pay for the name for some products so keep that in mind. I am extremely happy with my ARH setup and think it was worth the 1200
Also keep in mind that the 1 3/4 setup is best for FI setups and a 1 5/8 is better for n/a setups. |
