Default Dyno Sheets

OK folks here's the dyno sheet with the before and after runs. Keep in mind that they were made months apart, and I also added 3.73 gears between these two runs. The baseline plot is blue, the after JBA shorty headers, and 3.73 gears is in red. They told me that the loop in the baseline plot was from the auto tranny, not sure why it didn't do it today. Don't be fooled by the max numbers that loop makes it look bad. I hope this helps! I would still love to get a run on the Mustang dyno at the shop that installed the headers, since they did a run just before the headers were installed. I'll post it if I ever get back in there.

Thats a solid gain for just a set of equal lengths.

Hey Brian, how much did the sound change with the JBAs? Was there a change in tone of the exhaust? And ofcourse was it louder? Thanks

I just had the JBA short-tube headers installed and feel the exhaust is much quieter. I have GTAs and FRPP x-pipe as well. I am thinking about switching the GTAs for Stingers. Has anyone else experienced this?

The sound with the headers is really good. Like I said on my first post it no longer sounds like a motor boat. The blub...blub...blub is gone. I wouldn't say it's louder or quieter just better. Deeper, more like the old school V8's. That's with the Corsa mufflers, and I'm real happy with the combination. I just couldn't justify the added expense of LT's. I got the JBA ceramics for just over $400, and installed for another $250. Yes I know that LT's make more power, but it's mostly at the higher rpm's and I don't spend much time at high rpm's. I just didn't think it was worth double the cost, not to mention all the hassel come emission inspection time. (next month for me).

Default Quieter.

I too have the JBA headers on a 99 Cobra. The sound is much quieter at idle and up until the higher rpms. Mods include jba shorties, o/r x-pipe, and flowmaster catback.

Theres probably not too much of A difference between jba shorties and bbk shorties being as they both have 1 5/8" primary tubing right?
