Passenger Air Bag Off

Passenger Air Bag Off
My 2008 GT is showing "Passenger Air Bag Off", plus the little icon stays lit even with a person belted in. I checked under the pass. seat and the two electrical connectors seem OK.
Any ideas to fix this? I hate going to the dealer for any fix.

Did you check to see if your VIN is on the list for the airbag recall? They'll reflash the RCM (Restraint Control Module). No impact on the PCM if you have a tune, btw...
