Default single chamber flowmasters

are they any good? or is it better to go with the american thunder axle backs?

not exactly sure lol. i wanted to change out my entire exhaust and a friend of mine said i should go with single chamber flowmasters

you'll probly have to weld them in bc i dont think they make an axle back for the s197 w/ single chamber flows

There are a lot of better choices for the S197, both sound wise and installation wise.

^^^^^^+1 I would have never gone with flows if i did the proper research. One thing that I regret doing.

Flows were awesome on the New Edge stangs, but they are a definite no-no on the S197.

You're going to want to go with a can-type muffler, not a chambered muffler.
Under acceleration the chambered mufflers sound as if a hummingbird with metal-tipped wings is frantically trying to get out of your muffler.

I think it depends what chambered muffler. GTAs and JBAs sound good.

i had single chamber flows on my 87 gt. they sounded amazing. i was looking to buy the same for my 07 but after little research found they wont sound nearly as good. i went with some mac axle backs.

Mine sound great, but I would have gone with something to get me a more muscle sound. Right now they sound more exotic like a corvette.
