Do you hear it when you stop and turn off the engine?

Yea, with the A/C on?

Do you have a CAI leak?

I often hear a hi-pitch whirling sound that diminisheswhen I shut off the engine. Inever gave it much thought, I assumed it was just the electric cooling fan for the radiator running down to a stop.
I may have to pay more attention to it I guess. Now I'm curious. Well, not really, as I think about it, I really couldn't care. It seems normal to me. Heck, if I tried to chase down every sound these cars make, I would be in a rubber room talkin to the walls before long.

If the A/C was on, its just the residual compressed
freon passing thru the orifice into the evaporator.

I've heard it on mine now 'n then. Happens when accelerating from a dead stop. Nothing to do with A/C on mine.
Many peeps on here have also heard it...most dig it!!
