When visiting Whipple a few weeks ago I got the chance to see a few of
the new compressors they've been working on. Not only did I get a
chance to see the soon to be released 2.9L and 4.5L but had the
opportunity to see them run the all new 4.0L compressor on their blower
dyno. Art Whipple asked me to find him a low mileage 03-04 Cobra as he
wants to be the first to sport the 4.0L on his own personal ride.

So here's what a 4.0L Whipple sounds like on their blower dyno. You
think this is loud you should have only been there to here this baby
scream!

Mathematically speaking preformance for a supercharger for the 4.6 goes down above the ideal 3.2 to 3.4 rang eI've heard. So this is likley to reduce preformance really.

OR for a big cubed engine. 5.4 - 5.8 modular would be nice.

I couldnt tell if that was whine that was real loud or horn sounding.
I think part was the equipment used to film.

If that was whine.... whine on baby.... I simply love it.
When I do finally get a blower as stupid as it may seem to some, the whine sound will be a big part of my choice and
I want as much as I can get.

I have been waiting for the release of the 2.9L. Hopefully by the end of this year. Has Dustin decided whether they are going to release the 2.9L as a bundled kit( GT500 pumps, injectors, etc) ? Last time I spoke with Dustin they were undecided.
