Yesmustang44130 is right either blower u get is good whipple, mc, kb, u cant go wrong with either one. mine has a H.O whipple 10 lbs of boost we both took r cars to the track. we each made 5 runs and him and iwere even. imo the dyno numbers r not what matters its the track numbers. i will say this out of the roots and twin screw blowers the magnacharger has the best sounding whine!!!!! its definitely not stealth when u hammer it.

Are you running the Ford racing tune it came with?

RE: Magna Charger?
The car is on a Bigshot custom tune with no timing. Like I said I'm not here to argue just state the facts, and that's not from a Magnacharger, that's from a third party who did the comparo. The car made 464 with a little timing but put the A/F's in a un-safe funk. We tuned it out lean and it made 477 hp 433 tq. I don't understand you Whipple guy's always ready to argue, do you feel u have to prove ur blower or something???? Calm down guy's it's just a car!!!! There's much more to a car then the power plant! I guess some people have to make up for other short comings[&o]

tonkpils555666sas Is right it's all in the tune! Like I said in the start of this I was just trying to answer a question that was put out, I gave my opinion. And yes there are stealth blowers alot of whipple blowers play second to the exaust, u really don't hear the s/c

RE: Magna Charger?
I dont think whipple guys argue too much It is like a ford vs chevy thing. Everyone likes stuff for their own reasons.
I actually like all forms of FI, just made my choice on what worked for me.
My only nit is I like to provide good info to people so they can make an informed decision.
I will admit I dont know near as much about the Magnacharger as I do about the more mainstream mustang blowers.
But I know tons about Eaton/Roots blowers. Some of the real cutting edge ones are nice like the one on the ZR1, but they still arent like a T/S. A roots blower is a "pusher" and a T/S is a true compressor.
As I understand it Eaton designates their blowers by ci. So a 112ci blower is 1.8L. Compare that to the 2.4L whipple and KB along with the increased volumetric efficiency and I stand by the fact a TS is superior at elevated boost levels. Under 8-10psi it is probably a wash but the TS will have cooler IAT's. Turn up the boost and you will hit the wall much sooner with the lower volume and roots design.
Again not slamming any FI as many people are after different things, but you cant fight the facts.
On top of that I am data OCD and do Engineering for a living so I like numbers.
In the end if you are happy with you SC than that is all that matters.
And to the OP just do your research and go in with as much info as you can. In the end you will be happy with your purchase.
Thanks,

RE: Magna Charger?
Very well said! Can the whipple out perform the Magnacharger on the bottom end I would have to say yes, but IMOI believe the Magnacharger will come out on top with the top end. I had 10k to spend on this car from the start and could of bought any blower kit on the market and chose the Magnacharger to fit my needs. My goal with this car was 500 to the tire and with the new pulley and tune I think I'll get it. So on that note I did what I set out to do, and give this guy some info on the Magnacharger.

RE: Magna Charger?
What matters at the track is
a) ET's
b) 60' time
c) 1/8 mile time/mph
d) 1/4 mile time/mph
e) vehicle total weight
f) drivetrain auto/man
Noticed how I didn't say blower whine? These cars sound horrible anyway and to make it "whine" louder would be like putting whip cream and cherries into thetoilet after you ****
