RE: kenne bell supercharger question
24!!! I would say this is way too much bosst unless this car has SERIOUS mods to gearing, injectors, suspension, frame, etc. My procharger is running around 10-12, and this is more then enough. I would worry about blowing up somehing at 24lbs. I would take it to a local dyno/speed shop and have them do a dyno pull on it.

+1 it was probably in vaccuum or that was just the top reading the gauge shows. just like cars with 200mph speedometers dont really go 200, (With some exotic expceptions of course).
Buying a pre-modded car can save you lots of money on the performance parts if it is set up how you would like it. Problem is you have to take a risk on whether it was all installed properly and how the guy drove it.
Generally you get 0 premium for perf parts even SC so I wouldnt pay much over book value, maybe 1 or 2k if you really like it.
As far as what to look for that would depend on what was modded, see if you can get a complete list.
I would check the belt and the look of the engine bay. If it is really clean he is probably pretty **** about the car and keeps it nice. Check the clutch and see if it is fried, if so deduct what a perf clutch would cost from the price of the car. Check the tires for tread, if low, again deduct. Check for lots of rubber in the wheel wells to see if the car has seen many burnouts.
I would take the car for a long drive with the owner. At least like 30mins - 1 hr. Try and go in the hottest part of the day to check driveability and overheating.
If all this checks out and the price is right, it can be a steal.
Good luck and PM if you have more ?'s.
Thanks,

yes after going back and looking at it it is vaccum.so i guess this is ok.what else should i look for when i get to the car.i spoke to the sales man and he says that the car has over 500hp,but you know they will say anything to sale a car.im worry that i buy the car and it messes up.the car has 15000 miles on it too for a very decent price.

RE: kenne bell supercharger question
one thing you might do, even if
it's not required in your county, is
to go get an emmisions test (with
sniffer).
just thinking about future resale value for
you.....
