bug got me
i met a guy at the track who took out his CAI cause it didnt fit after he put his turbo in so he told me he'd sell it to me for 250
decided it was time today and that i thought it over long enough so i bought it. Its the Roush CAI and i had a hell of a time putting it in.
my vacuum line wasnt reaching but i finally forced it all the way after cutting part of the hose to the intake so it all worked out. Just not as smoothly as i wanted it to.
but im in love with the sound.....its so much louder, and the performance is definitely well worth the 250. now its time for my tune

I don't know if that's a good deal on the Roush CAI.
I got my JLT new for $200.
Glad you like it though.
You will notice more difference in performance with
a tune, since the Roush CAI is the same as Airaid,
which uses an MVT to maintain the stock air fuel
ratio. Once you get a tune, you will have to remove
that restriction.

Funny guy... an intake doesn't do a lot for your performance other than giving you that extra sound, which tricks you that you are going faster... You need a tune to get "all" that power.
CAI = NOT the holy grail of HP...

it needs a tune to all be working in sync together, however it doesnt mean that adding a performance part wont work without a tune

The CAI alone nets you maybe 3-5 RWHP. The computer can't utilize that airflow without the tune, the latter of which does more than just correct for the additional air flow and different octanes. The tune and CAI will net you ~15-25 RWHP. If you think you feel more power with just the CAI, you'd better wear a diaper after you load the tune.
