Hesitation Anyone?

Hesitation Anyone?
On several occations between 1st and 2nd gear and last night between 2nd and 3rd my GT hesitated when I put my foot into it, goofing off with a rice burner. It last for only a second but feels like I ran out of gas and usually happens around corners. Does this 05' have a cut off a 6000 rpm? or do I need to take it in? It only has 500 miles on it... any suggestions?

RE: Hesitation Anyone?
There is a rev limiter and if you hit it hard you will notice it as the engine will basically only get enough gas to idle and you will be glad you have your seat belt on, tight!
The other posts are correct that if you get a Diablo Predator you can raise this limit. If I recall correctly the stock tune is set to about 6,000. The performance tunes that I have played with all move it up to the 6,500 to 6,700 mark.

Thanks for your help I'll be getting the Steeda CAI and the Diablo soon, this should give me alittle more play in the red. But your right (cmenders) from 2nd to 3rd last night it put me right into the steering wheel... ouch!

RE: Hesitation Anyone?
I don't think your problem is the rev limiter but with a sensor that activates when you r shifting and using the clutch under hard driving conditions. It is programed so that you don't mess up the trany. There was an article on mm&ff on this. They use the xcalibrator to fix this setting. Jus by doing that and a couple more of things. The car ran 12.74 ET I think. I know it was on the 12's. Check it out. It came out like 2 to 3 months ago.

RE: Hesitation Anyone?
Actually, the best run was 12.45 @ 107.92. The list as shown in the mag:
SCT computer tune-up
MagnaFlow mufflers & stainless steel tips
Steeda underdrive pulleys
QA1 rear shocks
FRPP 4.30 gears
MT E/T street tires (26x11.5)
Installed cost = $2,430.

You can find multiple threads discussing throttle lag and other issues due to inadequate software versions on the tuner. The newer versions will make her run perfectly.
