For 11.49 and slower cars a general equation for 1/8 to 1/4 mile conversions is 1/8 mile time multiplied by 1.55.

So for yours, 8.4 x 1.55 = 13.02.

It's not exact but pretty close usually.

I would find a good shop in your area and ask for quotes and other details from them on the install. They would have a much better idea than a phalanx of speculating forum members. Hopefully some one on the forums is from your area and can recommend a good shop.

The truth about cages is that they are best done on a car to car basis.

I have mine scheduled to be done by Vic of East Texas Race Cars. The cost should be about 3,500.00 with swingouts.

He does some wonderful work and I trust the guy. Ordering my rear seat delete today! I need to get some new front seats but I'm not sure what I want!

Wow - that's pricey. I paid $1600 for my 6 point installed and painted with driver side swingout and 3" 5 pt harness.

I paid another $1100 to turn it into a full cage and get an NHRA 8.60 cert.

Yeah, Vic ain't cheap. I just egt scared when I start talking to some of the chassis builders around here. Heard a lot of horror stories from people.

I guess you get what you pay for and going to Vic might be overkill......but I have been known for that in the past!!

As I said Vic does nice work. Not my taste necessarily but can't deny the craftsmanship.

Carrol signed it himself.
