Hot Rod Cams installed-- finally
Well after waiting about a month to get them, I finally got my cams installed on Monday. The guy who did them had never done the Hot Rod cams (hes done others, just not these) He was very amazed at how good they sounded for being such a mild cam that required no spring changes. Still getting the tune worked out. When its in Drive with my foot on the brake (like at a stoplight) it idles too low IMO... around 500-600. Almost feels like its going to die but it doesnt. And the whole car shakes... not sure if that is normal. But if I put in Neutral it goes closer to 800-900 and seems to smooth out and no car shaking.
The net result however was a 18 rwhp gain from the cams (cant remember the tq # and the sheet is in the car) At half and WOT it sounds like a beast !! It sounds great at idle when in Park as well. I'll try to get a vid soon.

Yeah, it sure did. Unless Im just imagining (or wishful thinking) I swear it made the exhaust deeper... more bass in the tone. Plus, at idle it sounds just like an old, lopey 60's muscle car... Im very happy with the sound

Vids are a must with anybody who post they have these installed now, DAMITT. Llve these going to get these in the near future also.
Congrats, I have slp also and o/r x so I want to see more vids of this. I love this, set up and is why I changed my macs out for slp because of the car is this video, it has comp cams and AR LT and slp, so your car should sound very similar to this.
