Default Annoying exhaust rattle

Has anyone had any problems with there exhaust rattling? I think it may be a problem with one of the hangers but I'm not sure.

I had that problem yesterday. The clamps came loose.I got a breaker bar to tighten them up.I also noticed the rods that slip into hangers were small so I stuffed some rubber fuel line hose on the rods and put them back on.No more rattles.
I'm ordering a pair of Ford muffler clamps instead of the crappy units that Flowmaster sends for their axle backs.

You have the pypes mid mufflers. The hangers are most likely touching the metal on the hanger bracket. Mine did this on the passenger side and would make a high pitch chirping sound (like a cricket) and then start rattling like crazy. I fixed it by removing the stock hanger brackets and widening the holes with a drill. That allowed me to move the brackets back some. You could have a shop cut the hangers off the pypes and move them forward some, but modifying the brackets was easier and free.

I should point out that it will not be touching when you look at it, but when it's warm and you accelerate, it will move enough to touch. you should be able to see a slight mark on the metal. It amazes me how far the pipes will move. One exhaust hanger on each side looks backwards to me, i'm not sure why ford did it that way, but it'd be nice if you could flip it around so the extended rubber part would face forward.

Actually, now that I think about it. Mine may have rattled more when letting off the gas after passing someone.

Depends on the year of stang. In 07 I think they went from a metal with rubber insert muffler hanger to an all rubber style or something like that for cost savings.

Mine is an 08 and it rattles like crazy. My only exhaust mods are Stingers. Going over a bump or God forbid a cobblestone road (still have em in Germany) is an absolute embarrassment. I can't figure this **** out. I found two trouble spots (passenger side muffler was too close to the bolt directly above it and the driverside forwardmost bracket was smacking off the hanger. I fixed those but it still rattles like crazy. I'm half tempted to ditch the Stingers.
