Default DIY Paxton 2200 install? and some '???'

how hard is it to install?

a shop was quoting about $2-2,500 for it for me..

also can I run a bama-tune with that kit? set it up and drive it?

no dyno-tune up here where I am at either.

how hard would it be to set it at 450 whp and 480 whp say for a race night?

anyway around the 3rd gear issue? maybe get a different tune so that it
doesn't shift so aggressively in that gear?

2k-2.5k is an expensive install even with a dyno tune. I got mine installed and dyno tuned for lets just say, have of what they are charging you... Most places should charge and average of 1k for install...I would definently talk them down on that install price and go with the brenspeed kit so you have a reliable tune for the blower...

I paid half of what the are telling you as well. Where are you getting the kit from? If your getting it from brenspeed I have the #'s below with their provided tune.

getting the brenspeed kit but the only real 'tuner shop' up here really charges a premium for their service, particularly because of the lack of any real shops around here.I could try ford when I get it,the warranty is pretty much shot when I get it anyways so it doesn't matter lol.

$1,000 is about what you should pay. $2500 is retarded.

on a side note, how many of you guys are running 480-490whp with the paxton on the stock tranny?

If I do get a supercharger I am pretty sure I will keep it running at around 450whp and nothing more being that I don't want to have anything break on me...

well,I decided to get one of these instead..it's only about $800 more or so then the paxton 2200 and makes an awesome amount of power. Not only that but it looks bad ***.

forget the 4.10 gears lol. With this thing, the stock 3.31s would become a valuable asset.

Any person that knows anything about HP numbers will tell you that you can still have problems at 450rwhp. I'm at 430rwhp and my tuner told me to try and not bounce it off the redline too much. 450rwhp on the stock block is somewhat safe but by no means does that guarantee you will not have problems. I'm being a little harsh but thats reality...
