Default 05 GT Exhaust question

I have an 05 GT with a bassani x and 40 series Flows. I had the cats taken off friday. I dont really like that raspy sound. Sounds like this car in this link. I know there's been alot of discussion on this but whats the easiest fix. Change the mufflers, add something (glasspack or resonator or something else) put the cats back in, or what? When I go to shift gears and the engine throttles down I dont really like it

Anyone got any idea's for a quick (possibly cheap) fix??
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Feel free to move it.

Thanks guys,
Heath

Honestly i think its the X pipe more than anything. Usually x pipe is raspy while an h pipe is more deep rumble sounding.

just my .02

Change the X-pipe for an H-pipe, or get a muffler with a straight through design such as Borla or Corsa.

Do you have the modular bassani x-pipe where you can just bolt in the cats or a straight pipe. If so i would recommend putting them back in (free) and getting JBA mufflers ($299). The JBA's are really smooth out some of that x raspy tone. In all the clips I have watched its the best sounding x combo imo. Thats what I went with on my car.
