My reply to this thread would be lots of money and EVERY BIT OF THE EXTRA TIME YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE! Unless you can afford to have someone do it for you then I think you could just write them a ck for about 35k to 40k give them your car and wait 6 mo to a year and then you can go 9s.

and whith all these mods does it improve the top speed?

I love manuals and owned a couple manual 500rwhp+ cars in the past, imo manuals are the way to go/fun for 11’s and 12’s. But once you go tens or faster auto is the way to go imo if you going to track the car with any seriousness or want to be serious on the street.

It’s just more consient, reliable, (some would say faster) easier on the whole drive train & less expensive (in the long run) in my opinion.

Whatever works for you and what you perfer manual or auto it’s your choice.

Correction $$
Just looked at my quote from Larry's transmission quote was $2499.00 (not $2900.00) +$150.00 shipped per Tony Lewis.

g8stang just so I am clear this cost is a rebuild of my auto so since you have a manual you will have also have an added cost of the trans itself.

This thread makes no sense to me. Are you familiar with driving 9 sec cars or what? If you are then you shouldn't really have to ask about mods required, and definitely should be familiar with the advantages of auto in low et cars.

On the other hand, if this is a new power range to you, when why in the world would you shoot for a 9 sec car? I'm familiar with 500whp cars, but the second I drove a 750whp car and layed into it, I was in shock at the power difference, your concentration and reaction time has to be top par to handle cars at that power level. Based on your posts, do you really think building a car like that is a good idea?

Not trying to bash you here, just seeing if you thought things through properly.
