I am pretty set on the setup similar to Hufenstang. I just got off of the phone with a guy at Brenspeed. I basically asked similar questions. He explained that the car will still be completely streetable and very efficient on fuel for how much horsepower I would be pushing. I just still want to do more research because this will pretty much complete my dream list for my car... I would go Whipple, but 7500 for the Saleen stage 3 blower, stage 2 blower comp cams, phaser bolts, install, and tune... and a place to stay for free...

Does anyone have any clips of their idle with the stage 2 blower cams? And, did it really make a difference in the power? I wouldnt be able to tell the before and after difference with the blower cams because I am having the two done at the same time.

On average the stage 2 blower cams with phaser limiters add anywhere from 50 to 85whp depending on how high you go in the rpm band. Also with the stage 2 blower cams your boost drops a couple of lbs high up which really helps with stress on the engine. We have a hurricane comming soon.. But i should have my dyno results monday or tuesday if all goes well.

damn... your getting IKE arent you? well good luck with that... and yes, those dyno numbers would kick ***.

why didnt brenspeed tell me about phaser limiters? they just mentioned phaser bolts, two different things right?

and is it seriously that much of a power increase? then wow...

Hufen tonkpil is looking at a Stage 3 around (stock maf sensor, 39 injectors 3.4 pulley) 420rwhp on a stock motor auto, of course he will not see no where near 50-85rwhp on a stage 3 imo maybe +20-30rwhp (which is decent) with those cams on a stage 3.

That video is of a car making 545rwhp but we don't know what pulley size or psi, ( which I would like to know)that car is running which is important to know so we look at the cam gains from that perspective and to see what the gains look like imo. I mean a Saleen supercharged 3v running 15psi is capable of around 510-520rwhp on stock motor/ stock cams which we both know so see my point.

Really the car is very streetable. I drive it most of the time. With 4.10s running the street tune I average about 22mpg on the highway. With the race tune/smaller pulley, I average about 18mpg highway(guess what I run all the time) The race tune is with 100 octane BTW. My only complaint is that the car really doesnt have the hardcore cammed effect going on at idle. Really IMO, just a little rougher than stock--then again, my idle is set at 980rpms. I am running comp springs, but no phase limiters. This spring, things may change drastically if I can convince the wife that investing another $10g in the motor of the car is a wise investment

not really sure. the comp was recommended to me thru comp about a yr ago. Since then they've released several more cams. I hear bbr makes some nice blower cams, but the best ive heard have been the frpp cams. I thought about swapping out for them, but at $800, its not a cheap swap---especially if it cost horsepower.

I have heard the stage 3 cams and they have a nice big block cam lope at idle. I'll see if I can find the sound clip from another forum. Get what you want, that way you only have to do it once!
