Default CAI/Tune On the way

Well, I finally went and did it. Sold the kids, mortgaged the farm and ordered a JLTII/x-cal 3 combo from brenspeed. Now the hard part is waiting for delivery. I got the email on saturday that it had been shipped, and the anticipation keeps building more and more.

You'll love it. I suggest you take one last ride stock immediately before you do the install for a better comparison. You'll never look back.

Selling your soul will get you the next batch of mods...

I got the same thing from brenspeed just last week actually. It was like a whole new car. Pulls better in every gear afterwards. Took about 15 minutes to install & upload the tune. Was the longest 15 minutes ever. Do yourself a favor and go out for a short ride right before you install, then install. You really apreciate the difference then.

like Nuke said, take one last ride in it stock, install, and go for another ride. feels like a completely different car. just get ready to buy some lower control arms to keep that wheel hop in check.

be careful though, i dropped a bolt on my install into the engine bay and it took me 30 minutes to find a retrieve it... other than that it took maybe 15 minutes.

yeah, it sucked. it landed on that plastic shelf right behind the lower grille, but in front of the radiator all the way to the side where i couldn't reach it. took me 20 minutes to even figure out where it went and another 10 trying to fish it out.... man that was frustrating. little screw/bolt for the MAF sensor.

Ok, so its here and its on. I love it, car seems to pull better. I do want to check something though, just to make sure I'm getting what I needed. When I went to install the tune from the x-cal 3 that I got with the package from brenspeed, on the load tune screen, there were only the options for 87, 91, and 93 octane, no selection for custom tunes. Does brenspeed just modify the built-in tunes that come on the tuner, or should there have been custom "brenspeed" tunes in addition to the 3 canned ones?
