FRPP/sutton hot rod cam

I wouldnt consider it stupid. Its how you want to go about doing it. You would probably see better results power wise out of the cams with mods such as the intake and exhaust... I would porbably put other mods on the car first and leave the hot rods for a little later... but just IMO...

You are gonna be chokin like crazy on stock exhaust and intake. Take care of the breathing before you use a cam that wants more air in there. Get at least intake/exhaust mods before hand. you may want to spend some money on suspension first too because you are gonna have traction problems.

Seriously, you are much better off doing intake/exhaust first. Think about it this way.
you get cams for a grand or so installed and get tuned...let's say 1500 bucks total. you won't see much power without opening up the airflow on both sides so the demand for more air isn't just ignored. Then when you do get the intake/exhaust stuff down the road, you will have to get retuned and spend a few hundred more bucks. Why not just spend under a grand on exhaust/intake mods, see some good power from that and enjoy the better sound for a while until you can save up some more, then do cams and get MORE power and BETTER sound.
