Default FRPP/sutton hot rod cam

OK i was thinking of getting the FRPP cam. I have a few question can you put it on a stock mustang and be ok? Does it need new springs? DOes it shorten the life of the engine? and what should i get to go with it if i need anything? how much is the averge amount that some one ask to put them on for you?

the frpp's are best suited for a NA car,
so you're good to go.

the frpp website says you don't need to
replace the springs.

if it's just the cam swap, i think anywhere
from $250-$400 is what i've been reading
so far.

i'll let the cam experts comment on that
one.

i felt it was safe enough for my car, but
ultimately it's your decision

also..... there are some in the community, that think
phase limiters should be done with the FRPP's. i may
add the phase limiters in the near future, i just haven't
made up my mind yet

Cool Power VS. Sound

Heres a dyno sheet on the Comp NSR stage II cams. They make better power than the FRPP cams but don't sound as lopey as the FRPP's. So it will be a decision of sound over power. Also comp has come out with the Thumpr cam, its really the Stage III NSR cam. There maybe two other thumpr cams out later, atleast thats the word on the street.

sorry no video clips

the phase limiter, is a part that gets installed
when the cams are swapped. it eliminates the
possibility of valve to piston contact

not sure if anyone with an auto has done these
yet, you would want to contact doug at bama,
to see if he could provide you with a tune
