Default MRT Catted H-pipe? / Magnaflow Catted X?

MRT seems to be the only one who makes a SS high flow catted H. They seemed to be popular with the New Edges, but Has anyone used this on their S197? Anyone know who makes their cats? I'm debating on this vs. the Magnaflow SS catted X.

dont know of anybody running the MRT catted H, but i used to run a bassani catted X pipe and didnt like the raspiness... so i spliced in a H pipe from a pypes O/R H in place of the X and am really happy with the results! probably a little louder with the smaller bassani cats than the ones that come with the MRT though, i imagine the MRT H pipe would sound pretty good!

drbob, keep me updated if you find any clips of the catted H.

I was just about to order a O/R prochamber to try and was going to add cats if it got too loud.

This might be a great alternative.

Will do. I will be calling an installer today to get his opinion on the MRT product.

I'd be interested in this since I see you have corsas, I do also but had been thinking about getting a pipe with high-flow cats to give a bit more volume.

Yeah I want a nice increase in sound with that deep tone, but I dont want to be obnoxiously loud.

My only though is it doesnt look much differnt from the stock set up, so I wonder how much louder than a stock mid pipe it would be.

I've heard the MRT pipe give a pretty good sound increase, the cats flow pretty well from what I've heard

Here is a video of Flowmasters with a MRT catted H: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQeLOoY0i-c

So Starfire you have heard it in person.

Can you give you feelings on how much louder it is compared to stock?

And then maybe to an O/R pipe?

I would run it with pypes mid mufflers.

I called MRT today. Their cats are made by Eatern Catalytic.

I'll have my installer order their catted H pipe tomorrow. If it gets to him by next Tuesday, it'll be installed then. I'll let you know how it goes. Hmmm, maybe a before and after video?
