Default Anybody with Borla Cat-Back Stingers?

What are your thoughts on the Borla Cat-Back Stingers?

Will I get a good deep throaty sound from that? As well as pretty loud?

My main concern is I will choose a new system, only to not have it that much louder then stock.

Specifically I am looking at this.

yep it will livin up the sound quite a bit! Saddleup has this set up on her GT. Sounds great to me. I have the FRPP stingers, mufflers only, and i love the way they sound. It was my first mod and they are never coming off

How loud are they compared to the stock ones?

I am thinking the Borla cat-backs and JBA Longtube Headers would be a good combination.

theyre decently louder than stock...i dunno if youve ever driven a bullitt but theyre slightly louder than the GTA mufflers on the bullitt. They arent the loudest mufflers ever but they have a nice roar at WOT and a smooth burble when engine braking. I love the stingers on my mustang...the only problem is that they drone from 1600-2000 rpms which, with 3.55 gears in 5th, is about 50-60 mph. So if you dont drive in that speed range very often or dont mind drone (like me) then i definitely recommend them!

Im about to put on JBA shorties this week so I'll let you know how they sound with those on too.

I can guarantee you won't be disappointed the the Borla catback stingers....the sound is very deep.....BIG change from stock. I am very happy with mine...haven't heard anything that I would be willing to trade them for! Hope this helps !

I have the FRPP (Borla) Stinger axlebacks and love them. Yes, they DO drone in the 1500-1800 RPM range but I barely notice it anymore. The catbacks are a waste IMO, since you replace the stock midpipes with something that provides no improvement at all.

+1 to pretty much what everyone said. I like them b/c they are loud when you want them to be, but can still be quite enough when you are trying to sneak in the driveway.
