Comp cams questions
So first when comp cams came out they where just lvl 1 to lvl 4 cams, guys used to use the cams in either FI or Na applications, all of them needed new springs.
Now, comp makes NSR (No spring req) VSR (valve sping req) and SPR (Spring and Phaser mod req)
My question is, the old 3 and 4 cams are now in VSR section, but the old stage 3 (product #127300) is sold as NA cam and stage 4 (product #127350) sold as a SC cam, so whats the problem with the 127300 being used with a SC ?
I thought that a cam in order to work properly with a SC the LSA should be between 114* - 115.5*, where all the VSR cams for blowers have a LSA of 116* and the SPR cams for blowers are 113*, why this difference in the LSA if both are designed for SC ? Is it only due to its higher valve lift? what are the differences?
Also, with the guys having the old stage 3 127300 with a SC, what are the before - after #´s with them ?
Thanks
